The origin of Nag Champa is in India. Nag Champa incense is the name of a kind (no incense brand). Champa is the yellow flower of the Champac (or Champaka) tree used for the typical flavor of this kind to give incense.
There is a place called Chamba, in the same district in the western Himalaya. This place, formerly called Champa and Champaka where many trees grow, was (and perhaps still .....) by the goddess Champ Avati (better known as Chameshni) monitored. Here, the name of Champa off strains. Nag in India literally means "Cobra". Perhaps it refers to the twisting smoke of incense?
One of the most famous Nag Champa incense is the Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa Agarbatti. It is said that the best and the Nag Champa incense sold most in the world. Many think that the famous Guru "Sai Baba" the creator, or even the manufacturer of this brand incense. This is wrong. Sai Baba has made famous and incense or as "protector" of the incense seen. It is said that this incense is made under his supervision.
